About me

About me

Hi! I'm Amanda. I’m a Senior UX/UI Designer at Medtronic with a background in engineering, product development, and project management.

I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester and my M.Eng. from UC Berkeley before building and launching medical devices as a product development engineer. Later, as a project manager, I led cross-functional programs and gained a deeper understanding of how products move from concept to launch.

Early in my career, I noticed I was consistently drawn to the human side of the work — the user experience, the human factors, and the moments where clarity (or confusion) could make a real difference. I transitioned into UX design to focus on the intersection of clinical safety, usability, and product strategy. For over 10 years, I have been designing regulated healthcare experiences that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business strategy.

I’m a systems thinker and a visual storyteller. I love solving complex technical challenges just as much as I love refining the small details that make an interface feel intuitive and trustworthy. My curiosity naturally leads me to talk to people, understand what motivates them, and design experiences that make their already busy lives a little easier.

Outside of work, you’ll find me active in board sports, experimenting in the kitchen, chasing sunsets, self-reflecting, or checking something new off my bucket list.

An appreciation for experiences, aesthetics, and (most importantly) great meals.
